Our Committee
The Playgroup is run by an elected committee which ensures that the major decision making is in the hands of parents who use the Playgroup. The committee forms the registered body and acts as the employer. The Playgroup cannot run without the committee and they have overall responsibility for the Playgroup. The committee is elected on an annual basis at our AGM which is held in October, however parents are welcome to join the committee if there are spaces at any point during the year.
An important role of the committee is organising and running fund raising events throughout the year, which includes things like the Christmas and Summer Fetes. Money raised is used to buy new toys and equipment as well as subsidising parties and trips/visits during the year.
